About Numerical Productions, Inc.
Mack and Sheila Elliott founded Numerical Productions, Inc. in September 1979 to fill the need for an independently owned and closely managed CNC production shop in Central Indiana. Quality concerns dictated the choice of an all CNC shop.
Mack set up shop in the Lincoln Meadows Industrial Park on Indianapolis' southeast side. Twelve months later, Numerical Productions, Inc. filed as an Indiana Corporation, took on a partner to help finance growth, bought a second machine and moved into its own space in the same park. Within ten months employees were packing again for a move to a 4,000 square foot facility on Beech Grove's Main Street. By the fall of 1996 the space was stuffed with seven CNC machines and twenty five employees, including two production saws and a 2,500 square foot warehouse nearby. The company acquired land and erected an attractive building at their current location.
In 1996, the facilities were once again expanded. Numerical Productions, Inc. now employs over 50 employees working 3 shifts in a 32,500 square foot facility with 14 CNC work centers.
In-House Training
Numerical Productions has a strong belief that we must further develop and educate the current workforce. Numerical does this by offering tuition reimbursement programs through INTMA for job advancement and to further expand training in their current field of employment.
Numerical also offers to all employees a 4 level CNC Fundamental class and then a 5 level CNC Advanced Technology training classes for those who want to further their training and understanding of G-code programming, custom macro programming, advanced set-up and machine tool principles.
Numerical Productions has currently graduated 44 individuals through this program since its inception. Currently over 80% of the company’s workforce has completed all levels of this in-house training program.
